IRON RIVER -- The Iron County Genealogical Society will meet at 1 p.m., Thursday at the West Iron District Library in the J. Patrick White Conference Room.
Sandie Nies will be presenting a PowerPoint slideshow, "Palatka Where are You?" researched and created by Jon Angeli.
Angeli has given the slideshow to the Iron County Historical and Museum Society in Caspian. This slideshow takes you down a path of discovering the history of Palatka, as well as the wonderful history of the iron ore mines of Iron County in the early 1900s.
Visitors are welcome. Meetings are open to all individuals and are held monthly in the J. Patrick White Conference Room of the West Iron District Library.
