Basics to Browsing classes offered

STEPHENSON — The Menominee County Library continues its Basics to Browsing program. The library will provide free workshops and scheduling one-on-one tech help.

Call the library at 906-352-4111 to sign up for a workshop or to schedule one-on-one time. Any questions, ask for Heather.

The classes will start at 10 a.m. The June classes and locations are —

Thursday: Internet Basics, main library in Stephenson;

Tuesday, June 13: Mouse and Keyboard Basics, main library in Stephenson;

Tuesday, June 20: File Management Basics, main library in Stephenson;

Wednesday, June 21 : Computer, Mouse and Internet Basics, Hermansville Branch Library;

Tuesday, June 27: Internet Basics, main library in Stephenson.

Additional workshops will be available monthly.

Funding for this program is provided in part by a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services through the Library of Michigan and through a grant from the Public Library Association, or PLA, to conduct digital literacy workshops using Digitallearn.org resources.

The PLA Digital Literacy Workshop Incentive, supported by AT&T, provides support to libraries of all sizes to conduct digital literacy training in their communities and help close the digital divide.
