Norton Chartier & Company to play Thursday

Norton Chartier & Company perform Thursday at Music in the Park in downtown Norway.

NORWAY — Music in the Park this week will welcome a perennial local favorite as Norton Chartier & Company present the second concert of the summer at 7 p.m. Thursday at the bandshell in downtown Norway.

Norton Chartier & Company is led by Bob Norton and Jim Chartier of Iron Mountain. They have been performing for about 25 years or more.

“We have been blessed to have awesome wives, families and friends that have always supported us and our playing all these years,” Norton said. “We still have fun every time we get on stage and we look forward to playing in Norway.”

The band performs a mixture of classic easy rock music from the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s, and they’ll bring a fun show to the bandshell.

“We hope folks that come into Iron Mountain for this week’s Out to Lunch concert, featuring Michael Prucinsky and Safe Sax, will enjoy the afternoon, have a nice dinner in the area and come on down to beautiful bandshell park for this our second free performance of this summer’s fabulous series,” event coordinator Carol Sundstrom said.

Music in the Park is grateful for the financial support they have received from several organizations, businesses and individuals this year, without whom this concert series would not be possible.
