IRON MOUNTAIN — The Dickinson County Library of Iron Mountain has these activities planned through July:

— Iron Mountain Cemetery Park Tour: 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Iron Mountain Cemetery on Cedar Avenue, Iron Mountain.

Jayna and Keith Huotari will provide a tour of the Iron Mountain Cemetery featuring the local history of several individuals buried there. Adults and teens are to meet on location for this program.

— Vietnamese Spring Rolls with Ming Louie: 1 p.m. Monday at the Dickinson County Library in Iron Mountain.

At this intergenerational program for third through eighth grades and adults, Louie will teach budding chefs how to make Vietnamese spring rolls, which will then be eaten at the program. — Sweet and Sour Chicken with Ming Louie: 6 p.m. Monday at the Dickinson County Library in Iron Mountain.

Louie will demonstrate to adults and teens how to make sweet and sour chicken, which will then be made and eaten by attendees. Required registration; call the Dickinson County Library in Iron Mountain at 906-774-1218 to register. Sponsored by the Zonta Club.

— All Together Now Storytimes: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Dickinson County Library in Iron Mountain; and 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Solomonson Branch in Norway.

These storytime sessions for children through age 5 feature stories, songs, crafts and simple science experiments to build early literacy. No registration required for any of these programs. Sponsored by Bay College West.

— Lego Club: noon Tuesday at the North Dickinson Branch in Felch Township.

Build yourself up at Lego Club. This monthly program for third through eighth grades offers an opportunity to have fun and be creative with Legos. This month, participants will build murals out of Legos to be displayed on the side of bookshelves for the remainder of the summer. Students through eighth grade are invited to attend the North Dickinson session at North Dickinson County School on M-69. Sponsored by The Drug Store.

— Dickinson County Library in Iron Mountain Book Club: 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Dickinson County Library in Iron Mountain.

Adults are invited to discuss “Night of Miracles” by Elizabeth Berg. Partner books for this month include “Tomorrow I’ll Be Kind” by Jessica Hische and “The Boy with Flowers in His Hair” by Jarvis.

— Bad Art Night/Third Thursday Art Crawl: 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Dickinson County Library in Iron Mountain; 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, downtown Iron Mountain.

All ages are invited to join the library to create bad art masterpieces. The bad art will be displayed at Downtown Iron Mountain’s Third Thursday Art Crawl in July throughout downtown Iron Mountain. Patrons may pick up their creations Friday, July 21, at the Dickinson County Library in Iron Mountain.

— Solomonson Branch Book Club: 2 p.m. Thursday, at the Solomonson Branch in Norway.

Adults are invited to discuss “American Dirt” by Jeanine Cummins. This month’s partner book is “Borders” by Thomas King.

— Silent Disco: 6:30 p.m. Friday, July 21, at the Dickinson County Library in Iron Mountain.

Tweens and teens are invited to a special after-hours Silent Disco. The reading room will be magically transformed for a fun-filled night of glow-in-the-dark dancing and activities such as Corn Hole, Twister and more. Participants will get wireless headphones to listen to music and snacks will be provided. Participants are asked to arrive by 6:25 p.m., as the library doors will be locked at 6:30 p.m. Sponsored by Dr. Dale and Lucy Shampo.

— Gamers’ Club : 4 p.m. Monday, July 24, at the Solomonson Branch; noon Tuesday, July 25, at the North Dickinson Branch; and 4 p.m. Monday, July 31, at the Dickinson County Library in Iron Mountain.

Calling all video game enthusiasts — play a variety of video and board games at this monthly program for kids in third through eighth grades.

— Shh … Out!: 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 25, at the Dickinson County Library in Iron Mountain.

Get ready for a glow-in- the-dark Just Dance party with the Wii and Nintendo Switch at this month’s meeting. Therapy dogs Azul and Maverick will be in attendance at this program, which is open to all teens in grades nine through 12 and is a welcoming space for LGBTQIA+ teens and allies to just be themselves. — Write On!: 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 25, at the Dickinson County Library in Iron Mountain.

Adults and teens are invited to join this group that focuses on providing an encouraging and supportive space for all types of writers. This month, materials to create and design Junk Journals, Bullet Journals, or Smashbooks will be provided and members of the group will enjoy filling these pages with outdoor writing times.
