FLORENCE, Wis. -- The Northwoods Geology Club has scheduled its annual picnic from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Keyes Lake pavilion, which is off of Highway 101 south of Florence.
The event will feature drawings for many prizes. Those attending are welcome to bring anything rock- and mineral-related to trade, sell or give away.
Attendees are reminded to bring a chair if possible, as seating will be limited.
Also, consider bringing a dish to pass, snack material or treats. The club will provide sandwiches and soft beverages. Election of officers will take place at this time.
No meeting will take place in July. The next meeting will be Wednesday, Aug. 23, at the Florence Resource Center.
