100-Plus Women Who Care group to gather on Monday

IRON MOUNTAIN — 100-Plus Women Who Care in Dickinson County will have its 33rd meeting Monday, Aug. 14, at Pine Grove Country Club in Iron Mountain.

From December 2012 to May 2023, 100-Plus Women has raised approximately $667,000 for local charities and organizations.

Registration for the meeting will be from 5 to 6 p.m., with the meeting beginning promptly at 6. Individuals will register by their last names and team members can check in under their captain’s name. A pizza buffet will be available after the meeting for $10 per person and a cash bar will be open.

Following the group’s guidelines, three local 501(c)(3) charities or agencies will be selected for presentations, after which the membership will vote for one of those charities to receive each individual member’s or team’s donation of $100.

Also, a representative from Habitat for Humanity will briefly discuss the impact of the roughly $16,000 donation given to that organization after the 100-Plus Women’s meeting in May.

Members are encouraged to nominate a worthy 501(c)(3) organization or charity. If four meetings have passed since a group was selected for the donation, it is eligible to be nominated again. As a reminder, the last four to win were Habitat for Humanity, Project Life Saver, Medical Care Access Coalition and The Imagination Factory.

For more information about this organization or for a form to join, send an email to dc100women@gmail.com. Membership forms will also be available at the door. All interested women are invited to participate.

Starting at $3.50/week.
