Niagara Lions Club donates
The Niagara Lions Club in Niagara, Wis., recently donated $1,000 to the Niagara Area Emergency Unit to help purchase a LifeLine Arm Automated Compression Device. The device provides mechanical chest compressions to patients in cardiac arrest. It is used in emergency situations as an alternative to manual CPR because it provides consistent compressions at a fixed rate through difficult transport conditions and eliminates the physical strain on the person performing CPR. Keith and Tanya Holmes, EMT volunteers, were on hand for the recent Aurora Mud Runs to provide emergency assistance if needed. Those willing to consider volunteering or helping the Niagara Area Emergency Unit can contact Laura Valley at Niagara City Hall, 715-251-4558.
