IRON MOUNTAIN -- The Iron Mountain-Kingsford Women's Club will have its first general meeting of the season at noon Friday, Sept. 1, at Pine Grove Country Club in Iron Mountain.
Geologist Eric Jensen will be the guest speaker. The topic is "How the Upper Peninsula was formed."
Luncheon menu will include a bacon, lettuce and tomato croissant with house chips, ranch dressing and coffee. Cost is $18, all inclusive.
Members are asked to bring grocery receipts and vintage jewelry, which will be sold.
The Ways and Means Committee will again sell Terry Lynn nuts, candy and snack mixes. Monetary donations will be accepted for the Salvation Army and St. Vincent de Paul food pantries.
