Forest Park Achievement Hall of Fame dinner Saturday

CRYSTAL FALLS — The Forest Park Achievement Hall of Fame induction banquet will take place Saturday at Young’s.

Social hour will begin at 5 p.m., with a dinner at 6 p.m., catered by the staff at Young’s Firebrick Bar & Grill. The program to honor inductees will take place immediately after dinner.

This year they will honor three individuals who have either distinguished themselves as a graduate, or contributed to the Forest Park School District. The inductees are: Richard “Dick” Mettlach, longtime coach and teacher at Forest Park; Don Boulanger, educator, passionate community volunteer and author; and Barbara (Meyer) Trevarton, registered nurse who developed a vocational/health occupations program for high school students.

An informal assembly for students will take place Friday in the Eddie Chambers Memorial Gymnasium.

Tickets will be $25 for adults and $7 for children 12 and younger.

The public is welcome to attend. Whether family, friend, former student or passionate alumni, this is a truly special event to pay tribute to these amazing inductees.

The mission of the Forest Park Achievement Hall of Fame is to honor the accomplishments, commitments, contributions of individuals who have made an effort worthy of such recognition. The group aims to inspire current and future generations of Forest Park students to set impossible goals and never quit working to attain them.
