Marinette County Fair lists award winners
WAUSAUKEE, Wis. — The Marinette County Fair had its award ceremony Aug. 27 in the show ring at the fairgrounds.
The list of winners honored —
DAIRY
SHOWMANSHIP: Beginner — Julie Borkovec, Beaver Four Leaf Clover 4-H Club; Intermediate — Brady Charapata, Merry Go Getters 4-H Club, and Senior — Alex VanDeWalle, Beaver Four Leaf Clover 4-H Club. They received trophies sponsored by United Cooperative.
CLUB HERD AWARDS: Large Herd — first was Merry Go Getters 4-H Club; second Beaver Four Leaf Clover 4-H Club. Small Herd — first was Badger Buds 4-H Club of Niagara. These clubs will receive money sponsored by the County Fair Association.
PRODUCTION: Top Butterfat — Isabelle Carlson; Top Milk Production — Grant VanDeWalle; and, Top Protein — PJ Finger. All three are members of the Merry Go Getters 4-H Club and received rosettes sponsored by the County Fair Association.
OUTSTANDING EXHIBITOR: Alex VanDeWalle, Beaver Four Leaf Clover 4-H Club. He received a plaque sponsored by Hoppe Dairy.
BEST FITTED HOLSTEIN: Under 2 Years — Samantha Gretzon, Badger Buds 4-H Club; and, 2 Years & Older — Alex VanDeWalle, Beaver Four Leaf Clover 4-H Club. They received trophies sponsored by the Marinette County Holstein Association.
BEST UDDERED: Alex VanDeWalle, Beaver Four Leaf Clover 4-H Club, received a rosette sponsored by the County Fair Association.
BEST FITTED COLORED BREED: Under 2 Years — Brady Charapata receiving a trophy sponsored by Tammy’s Weeds & Bees; and, 2 Years and Older — Mackenzie Carlson receiving a trophy sponsored by Patricia Kesler. Both exhibitors are members of the Merry Go Getters 4-H Club.
SUPREME SHOWMAN: Alex VanDeWalle, Beaver Four Leaf Clover 4-H Club; and reserve went to Abby Charapata, Merry Go Getters 4-H Club. VanDeWalle was recognized with a plaque that hung over his animal’s stall during the fair.
BEEF
SHOWMANSHIP: Beginner — Landon Dura, Merry Go Getters 4-H Club; Intermediate — Peyton DeClark, Pike River 4-H Club; and Senior — Charli Broderick, Forever Green 4-H Club. They received trophies sponsored by United Cooperative.

SWINE
SHOWMANSHIP: Beginner — Alivia Finger, Merry Go Getters 4-H Club; Intermediate — Lily Grady, Nelligan Lake 4-H Club; and Senior — Sophie Vogel, End of the Trail 4-H Club. All three received trophies sponsored by Chris and Sheryl Vieth.

Gabriella Johnson, End of the Trail 4-H Club, won Reserve Grand Champion Best of Show Friday. Kendall Walk, Stargazer 4-H Club, won Grand Champion for Best of Show Saturday; Reserve Grand Champion for Overall Fastest Time; and, Grand Champion for Leadless Showmanship. Abigale Johnson, End of the Trail 4-H Club, won Reserve Grand Champion for Best of Show Saturday; Reserve Grand Champion for Overall Halter; Reserve Grand Champion for Leadless Showmanship. Kaylie Dessart, Merry Go Getters 4-H Club, won Reserve Grand Champion for Most Versatile; Grand Champion for Overall Showmanship; and, Grand Champion for Supreme Showman. Rachel Terp, End of the Trail 4-H Club, won Reserve Grand Champion for Super Horse; Reserve Grand Champion for Overall Showmanship; Reserve Grand Champion for Overall Ranch Horse; and Reserve Grand Champion for Supreme Showman. CAT
SHOWMANSHIP: Junior — Marshall Kahles, Middle Inlet Moonshiners 4-H Club; Intermediate — Mara Seefeldt, Forever Green 4-H Club; and Senior — Breanna Klimek, Merry Go Getters 4-H Club. The winners received trophies sponsored by an anonymous donor.
