St. Vincent de Paul plans Giving Tree in Florence

FLORENCE, Wis. — The St. Vincent de Paul Society of Florence County is again sponsoring the community Giving Tree.

Applications for participation in the program have been sent home with children through the Florence County school and should be returned quickly to allow time for shopping. All applications are confidential.

Familiar basic toys such as trucks, dolls, Barbies and Legos are always popular. Wrapping paper and batteries are also needed to be used for the gifts. Hand-knitted hats and mittens are welcome as well. Gifts should not be wrapped.

Gift tags are available at Great North Bank at Aurora, Wis., and Florence; the Fence Post and the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store in Florence; and local churches. To participate, choose a tag, purchase the gift and return it unwrapped with the tag attached to the drop box by Monday, Dec. 4.

For more information or questions about the Giving Tree Program, call 715-528-2030.
