IRON RIVER -- The Iron County Genealogical Society will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday in the J. Patrick White Conference Room at the West Iron District Library.
The group will review some of the history of businesses/buildings in the local area -- in Iron River, the Crowgey Garage, the post office, Lindahl Garage and A&P Store; in Stambaugh, Baker's Grocery and Erickson's Tri City Drugs; and other long-gone businesses/structures.
They encourage anyone with knowledge of these historic places or similar ones to attend the meeting and share memories with the group.
Those who have a copy of "Frames For the Future" are asked to bring it.
Monthly meetings take place in the J. Patrick White Conference Room of the West Iron District Library.
