Online workshops offered

LANSING — Chronic Pain Path and Diabetes Path are both six-week self-management workshops designed to help people to take an active role in managing chronic pain and/or diabetes.

Adults of all ages interested in managing either of these chronic conditions are welcome to attend. Also, family members and caregivers of those who have chronic pain or diabetes are welcome. 

Participants can learn strategies and skills to manage chronic pain/diabetes, such as: 

— Dealing with difficult emotions, poor sleep, fatigue and stress; 

— Developing exercise and healthy eating plans; 

— Managing medications and preventing medication misuse;

— Communicating with family, friends and health care providers;

— Decision-making and evaluating treatment options; 

— Goal setting. 

The program will meet for six weeks online via Zoom; each weekly session lasts two hours, with a break provided.
