BEECHWOOD -- The Beechwood Historical Society will host a presentation by Gary Lopez titled "The Bells of Beechwood" at 5:30 p.m. Friday, March 8, at the Beechwood Hall.
The event is a fundraiser for the campaign to restore the bell tower at the Bethany Church.
It will include stories of the Bethany Bell, the Benson School Bell, the Beechwood School Bell and St. Paul Church Bell.
There will be updates on restoration work at Bethany and the Finnish Translation Project. The event will also feature refreshments, light food and raffle prizes.
To make a reservation, call 906-284-1501 or send an email to beechwoodhistoricalsociety@gmail.com. Only 50 tickets will sold at $15 each. Each ticket qualifies the buyer for a raffle prize entry.
The hall is on 178 Beechwood Store Road, 7.5 miles west of Iron River off U.S. 2.
