EAGLE RIVER — The Enchanted Doll Club of the Northwoods will have its monthly meeting at 1 p.m. Thursday in the meeting room of the Kalmar Center, 1011 N. Railroad St. in Eagle River.

Arlene Vlies of Pelican Lake will present a program on the doll artist and writer Wendy Lawton.

Lawton began her career in 1979 creating dolls of porcelain or porcelain and wood in small editions. Many of her dolls are based on literary or historical characters.

Members welcome guests who would like to learn about Lawton or the doll club.
