PESHTIGO, Wis. — An Ask a Master Gardener program on growing asparagus in Wisconsin will be presented at 1 p.m. Friday at the Peshtigo Library, 331 French St. in Peshtigo.

Master Gardeners Rick Dittrich and Tim Limberg will explain what they have learned over the years about how to plant and care for asparagus.

They will also share which asparagus is best suited for zones 3, 4 and 5; how to plant them; and when to start and end the harvest. They will explain why some of those “old wives’ tales” about asparagus may be just myths.

They will be available to answer gardening questions as well.
