Genealogical group meets on Thursday
IRON RIVER — The Iron County Genealogical Society will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday in the J. Patrick White Conference Room at the West Iron District Library.
Sandra (George) Thoney, local author of a number of West Iron County historical books as well as children’s works, will be the guest speaker.
She will explain the process of how a personal family memory book blossomed into a number of historical books filled with collections of old photographs, memorabilia and memories; a journey through bygones times of businesses, families, organizations, churches, schools, etc.
Meetings take place monthly in the J. Patrick White Conference Room of the West Iron District Library.
