NORWAY — The Norway-Vulcan Women’s Club welcomed Diane Schabo, president of the Dickinson County Cancer Unit Loan Closet, at the March 14 meeting.

The Loan Closet began in 2000 to help cancer clients with supplies and equipment needed at home, Schabo said.

The Closet also lends equipment to non-cancer clients for a limited time of six months; however, it’s important that these items be returned on time.

Their service area included Dickinson County and those with Aurora, Florence, Niagara and Spread Eagle, Wis., addresses.

Plans were finalized for the club annual fundraiser Spaghetti Dinner planned from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. April 13 at the Grace Methodist Church hall on Odill Drive in Norway.

Updates for the Senior Tea on May 1 were also discussed.

The Norway-Vulcan Women’s Club will next meet Thursday, April 11, at Mike’s on Main in Norway. Any interested women are welcome to attend.
