Dickinson MARSP to meet on April 18

IRON MOUNTAIN — The Dickinson Chapter of the Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel will meet Thursday, April 18, at Pine Grove Country Club.

Master Gardener Dennis Bal will present a program.

A social hour with coffee provided will begin at 11 a.m., followed by a noon luncheon. A cash bar will also be available. The noon luncheon will feature chicken alfredo, salad and a roll for $18.

A chef salad for $14 is available upon request when making reservations either online or when called. No alterations may be made to either selection. All selections will include a dessert.

Please note that anyone who makes a reservation is expected to make arrangements to pay for and pick up their meal selection if they are unable to attend the meeting.

The calling committee will begin contacting members Sunday. Those not contacted by noon Thursday should email MARSP at dcmarsp@gmail.com or call Pam Trask at 906-779-9157 to make a reservation.

To add or cancel reservations, the deadline is noon Friday, April 12.

Members are asked to bring canned goods — four of each kind — to be donated to the four food pantries that MARSP supports. Used eyeglasses will also be collected at the meeting.

This meeting is for MARSP members and their spouses, but the group welcomes any retiree from the Michigan public schools who is interested in joining MARSP or renewing their membership. For more information on how to join MARSP, contact Kris Bal at 906-282-0300, or check the web page at www.marsp.org.
