IRON MOUNTAIN — The Zonta Club of Iron Mountain-Kingsford is again offering the Nora Flemington Adult Educational Scholarship in the amount of $1,500.

The scholarship will be awarded to assist adult women who wish to pursue further education in preparation for re-entry into the job market, or to women who have completed their undergraduate degree and wish to pursue graduate or professional studies.

Women applying for this scholarship must be high school graduates; at least 22 years of age or enrolled in an advanced degree program,; residents of Dickinson, Iron, Florence or Marinette counties; and carry a minimum of eight credit hours per semester.

Applications can be obtained by calling Beth Linn, scholarship chair, at 906-221-3104, or emailing zontaimk@gmail.com or blinn837@gmail.com. Completed applications must be received by June 15.

The Zonta Club of Iron Mountain-Kingsford has offered this non-traditional scholarship to local women for more than 35 years. More than $45,000 in scholarships have been awarded. The club believes it is important to provide educational opportunities to women who are pursuing advanced degrees.
