Dault among the featured artists at annual Art for All

Artist Matthew Dault will be at Art for All on Saturday at City Park in Iron Mountain. Above is one of his paintings.

IRON MOUNTAIN — Artist Matthew Dault will be at Art for All from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in City Park.

Dault is a surrealism artist who uses acrylic paint on gesso primed canvas. His overall goal is to inspire people to pick up a paint brush and create art. He is a combat veteran who had left America to teach English in Vietnam for the last 10 years. His artwork has brought him back to Upper Michigan.

He really enjoys painting murals and loves to see reactions from people. He has met so many beautiful people through his artwork. Painting is his passion and therapy. More can be learned from his website www.daultart.com.

Olympic gold-medal-winning snowboarder Nick Baumgartner will also be at Art for All selling his book “Gold from Iron: A Humble Beginning, Olympic Dreams, and the Power in Getting Back Up.”

The show will have a vast array of art for sale, as well as musical entertainment. There will be a “better than ever picnic” provided by Tadych’s Marketplace Foods and served by the Bishop Baraga Knights of Columbus. A silent auction provides funds for an area senior art student.

Those attending can win $50 to be spent at the art show, with drawings at 11 a.m. and 1 and 2 p.m.

Starting at $2.99/week.
