Library events in Niagara

NIAGARA, Wis. — The Niagara Public Library invites individuals of all ages to head out on an adventure of learning, connection, and fun for the annual summer library program.

With the theme “Adventure Begins at Your Library,” this year’s program is set to inspire kindness, foster friendship, and celebrate unity within the community.

Scheduled every Tuesday afternoon at 1 p.m., to Aug. 13, the program promises an adventure-filled lineup of family-friendly activities and events at the pavilion in Heights Park. Nestled amidst the beauty of nature, participants will have the opportunity to engage in intergenerational programming, where different generations can come together, share stories, and form lasting friendships.

The scheduled includes:

— Tuesday: Aquatic Creepy Critters Exploration — Dig into the underwater world and discover the secrets of aquatic habitats, as they explore the Menominee River’s plant materials to find small creatures like insects, snails, mussels, worms, larvae, and fish.

— July 2: Bats Bonanza — Unravel the secrets of these nocturnal superheroes and learn why these winged wonders are essential for our environment, from pollinating flowers to controlling insect populations.

— July 9: Mid-Summer Splash — Cool off with a bunch water fun.

— July 16: Nature Games — A variety of fun nature games and activities to help kids learn about concepts like habitat, adaptations, wildlife, populations, and more. And it includes a visit from Smokey Bear.
