FLORENCE, Wis. — The Aging and Disability Resource Center of Florence County is excited to offer a free hiking group open to active seniors over the age of 60.

These hikes will take place approximately twice per month, running from Aug. 7 through Oct. 23. They will explore beautiful Florence County, area waterfalls, and other local trails. Hikes will vary in terrain and length, most ranging from 1-3 miles. Participants should be comfortable hiking on potentially uneven and slippery terrain.

For those unable to drive, limited transportation is available.

Their first hike to LaSalle Falls will take place at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 7.

There will rain date if Mother Nature doesn’t cooperate. Registration is required.
