Family-friendly magicians The Alans to be at Dickinson County Library
IRON MOUNTAIN — The Dickinson County Library in Iron Mountain will host The Alans, magicians and mentalists, for an all-ages show from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday, July 22.
Jason and Stacy Alan are a husband and wife team that use magic and mentalism to deliver loads of fun and lots of laughter. Their high-energy show is filled with spectacular magic, funny props and lots of audience participation.
“We are ecstatic to be hosting The Alans during their U.P. tour this summer,” said Marissa Miner, middle grades/adolescent specialist. “With such a strong reputation preceding them, we are sure to be taken on a magical adventure during their show.”
Along with providing family friendly entertainment, the Alans have also performed for corporations and resorts, including Progressive, 3M, Parker Hannifin, GE, Quicken Loans, Key Bank and Red Mountain Resort. The Alans are notorious for catering their act to the venue and audience, making each show a unique experience.
The Alans’ show is funded in part by Michigan Humanities, an affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the Michigan Arts and Culture Council. The program at the library is sponsored by Dr. Daniel and Christine McMahon.
Founded in 1967, the Dickinson County Library has three sites: the main library in Iron Mountain, the Solomonson Branch in Norway and the North Dickinson Branch in the North Dickinson County School building in Felch Township.
