Women’s Club plans meeting Friday
IRON MOUNTAIN — The Iron Mountain-Kingsford General Federation of Women’s Club will have its opening meeting for the new year Friday.
They will gather at noon at Pine Grove Country Club in Iron Mountain. The luncheon cost will be $20, all inclusive.
Reservations are required for the luncheon. Call or text the social chairman Joyel Brule with the reservation request at 906-282-0650. Reservations are due by Sunday.
Tamara Juul and Barb Reisner will be the program presenters. They will outline the upcoming improvement plans for the Imagination Factory Children’s Museum and for a community center component for the building in the future.
All club members are encouraged to attend the meeting and to bring a guest as potential new members.
The State of Michigan GFWC officers have made request to all Michigan Clubs to donate a gently used pair of athletic shoes by each member to an environmental state project. The shoes will be collected at each district’s annual fall meeting.
The Iron Mountain GFWC Club will host the District 5 fall meeting Friday, Sept. 27, at Pine Grove Country Club.
On Thursday, Sept. 26, a meet-and-greet pizza party is planned from 4 to 8 p.m. in the TownePlace Suites meeting room in downtown Iron Mountain.
The Friday District meeting will begin with breakfast from 8 to 8:45 a.m. at Pine Grove Country Club. At 9 a.m. the District 5 meeting will convene for the entire day. All club members are invited to attend.
