Crystal Falls library to host author, book signing Friday

Kelly VanOss

CRYSTAL FALLS — Crystal Falls District Community Library will feature local author Kelly VanOss at 6 p.m. Friday for an author talk and book signing.

The event is free, and refreshments will be served.

Those who have never been to an author event now have the chance to experience a one-of-a-kind event. The author’s talk should be extra special because VanOss plans to bring in the real people she based some of the characters on.

She and her live-action characters will read from the book “True Colors,” utilizing some Yooper accents to really make the action come to life.

In the book, criminologist, forensic psychologist and private investigator Dr. Michelle O’Donnell (Em), together with her brother, Mike; best friend Misti; off-and-on lover Detective Simon Mackie; and team of hilarious and extraordinarily talented sleuths fight to protect their small Upper Peninsula community from a string of devious criminals.

Em and Mike, using their developing special talents, unravel the webs of destruction while facing their personal demons and find themselves in the midst of grave danger.

For more information, call library Director Evelyn Gathu at 906-875-3344 or email to egathu@crystalfallslibrary.org.

Starting at $3.50/week.
