Florence Historic Building Walk on Thursday
FLORENCE, Wis. — The Florence County Historical Society will conduct its second guided walk of the the community’s historic buildings at 6 p.m. Thursday.
The walk starts at the museum at 201 Florence Ave. off U.S. 2. Parking is available between the museum and the yellow Webb-Judge house and an adjacent lot.
A rest and refreshment stop is planned midway at the Encore on Central, hosted by Rachel and Don Egelseer, which will include a brief history and interior tour of the Encore.
The walk is about a mile and will take about 1 1/2 hours to complete. There is no charge to participate. In case of rain, the walk will be canceled.
The Florence County Historical Society Walking Tour booklet offers a map for a self-guided walk. It will be available for $5 at the walk and also at the museum, open from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday through Saturday.
