GFWC National Day of Service slated

IRON MOUNTAIN — The Iron Mountain-Kingsford General Federation of Women’s Club has planned a Drive-Thru Food Drive from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21.
Cars with open trunks will be parked in the IncredibleBank parking lot, where members will collect donated items to add to their car trunks. Participants should drive in on C Street and exit on B Street. Balloons will mark the entrance.
St. Vincent De Paul and the Salvation Army are in need of food and other items. No out-of-date items will be accepted. All expiration dates should be marked after Oct. 1.
Donated food items will be also accepted in the lobby of IncredibleBank starting Friday through Sept. 20.
Needed items include:
— Fruit and/or vegetables with a pop top;
— Macaroni and cheese;
– Hamburger Helper;
— Cereal;
— Pudding, Jell-O;
— Cake mix and frosting;
— Paper towels, toilet paper;
— Laundry and dish soap;
— Toothpaste and toothbrushes.
