MARSP to offer three mini-grants to area teachers

IRON MOUNTAIN — The Dickinson County chapter of the Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel will offer mini-grants to Dickinson County public school teachers in for the 2024-2025 school year.

Three mini-grants of $250 are available.

MARSP hopes the opportunity to apply for an additional $250 for classrooms will help staff to purchase equipment and materials.

The recipients of the mini-grants will be chosen based on the project being academic in nature and impacting many students. A representation of schools and grade levels will also be considered when choosing the recipients.

Applications have been emailed to each Dickinson county superintendent and principal. Applications can also be obtained from MARSP School Ambassador Jan VanGasse by emailing her at janicevangasse@gmail.com.

Applications must be received by Friday, Oct. 11, and can be emailed to VanGasse or mailed to her at W5745 River Meadows Lane, Norway, MI 49870.

Mini-grant winners will be notified by Friday, Nov. 1.
