Jim Jackson will give a presentation, “Wildlife and Birds from Around the World,” at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Crystal Falls Community District Library. Jackson is an avid “birder” who has traveled all over the world birdwatching. His trips include, but are not limited to, the Galapagos Islands, Antarctica, Botswana, Australia and Croatia. “Jim came to do a talk for the children during the Summer Reading Program on birds and I was so blown away by the pictures and stories he shared — I thought adults need to see this program, too,” Library Director Evelyn Gathu said. The Friends of the Library will provide refreshments at this free program. “Please come out and be captivated by some really wonderful wildlife pictures,” Gathu said.
