Murder Mystery event at the Dickinson County Library on Saturday
A MURDER MYSTERY event will take place Saturday at the Dickinson County Library in Iron Mountain.
IRON MOUNTAIN — The Dickinson County Library will host a Murder Mystery program during a special after-hours event from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the main library in Iron Mountain.
Set on a fictional farm on the outskirts of Michigan’s farm and mining country, this program puts patrons’ detective skills to the test. On an autumn morning, six people enter through the farm’s gates, but one of them is a cold-blooded killer.
Participants in ninth through 12th grades and adults will work together to solve the mystery and figure out the killer’s identity.
“I wanted to do something fun and exciting for our adult and teen patrons,” said Emily Cummings, local history/adult programming coordinator. “Having attended a few murder mysteries myself, I thought it would be the perfect program to offer those looking to test their sleuthing skills this October.”
At the program, participants will receive notebooks to jot down clues. Refreshments will be provided. Interested patrons are asked to arrive by 3:25 p.m., as the library doors will be locked at 6:30 p.m.
Registration is not required for this program, which is sponsored by Rize.
Founded in 1967, the library has three locations in Dickinson County — the main site in Iron Mountain, the Solomonson Branch in Norway and the North Dickinson Branch in the North Dickinson County School building in Felch Township.
