Niagara Wine Walk on Sunday also has Blackrocks beer

NIAGARA, Wis. — The second annual Wine Walk will be from noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday in the Niagara Heights.

Wine samples from Cedars Edge Wine & Gifts will be served. New this year, are beer samples from Blackrocks Brewery of Marquette. Attendees will have a selection of wines from crisp whites to bold reds and brews from classic ales to dark beer.

Participants must be 21 or older to participate in the wine tasting portion of the event; participants under the age of 21 must be accompanied by an adult and will not receive alcohol. Sparkling grape or apple juice will be served to underage persons who participate. Participants 21 or older will receive a wristband. The distant of the walk is approximately two miles

Cost is $40 in advance and $50 day of the event and includes a t-shirt, wine and beer samples, snacks and live music.

Proceeds from the event last year purchased the lights for the Heights Park tree and lighting ceremony. This year proceeds will go to Christmas lights at Heights Park and a free community Christmas event.

Forms are available at City Hall and there is a link on the city of Niagara Facebook pages. The event is again being organized by Shelby and Bryan DeForge.
