Quilt demonstrations set
FLORENCE, Wis. — The Wild Rivers Quilt Guild invites all area quilters and interested persons to their meeting at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 900 Central Ave., at the intersection of U.S. 2 and 101 in Florence.
They are looking forward to their upcoming Tips ‘n’ Techniques with two interesting demonstration sessions. Member JoAnne Friberg will demonstrate how to make fun and scrappy Crumb Cake Block and will describe how to use them in quilts. She will also share how she uses lots of scraps to make easy and fast “piano key” borders.
Another demonstration session will be led by member Christine Vross, who will demonstrate how to make purses using cork fabric — an unusual textile with fun results. Finally, a session will be led by the leadership team to review and answer questions about the 2025 budget and upcoming programs for next year.
“We hope you will join us for an evening of learning about these interesting and creative quilting techniques,” member Jackie Lehto said.
