Norway Senior Trudeau selected for DAR Good Citizen award

MASON TRUDEAU

NORWAY — Norway High School senior Mason Trudeau has been selected by the NHS faculty as the nominee for the Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizen award.

The DAR Good Citizenship Award is presented to one student based on the qualities of dependability: truthfulness, loyalty, and punctuality; service: cooperation, courtesy, and consideration of others; leadership: personality, self-control, and ability to assume responsibility; and patriotism: unselfish interest in family, school, community and nation.

Trudeau is a member of the Youth Advisory Committee — YAC, Key Club and Leo Club, where he volunteers for many events and activities.

He is also a member of the Norway National Honor Society and has been on the honor roll every semester of high school. Trudeau participates in baseball and basketball, runs track and serves as an office runner and a student assistant.

When he isn’t playing sports, he’s helping out at games — many times suited up as the Knight’s mascot to pump up the crowds. He is a fixture at every Norway activity — either as a player, worker or volunteer.

Trudeau is one who never says no when someone asks for help.

“Mason is always willing to help and he does everything with a smile,” said Tami Slagle, YAC and Leo Club advisor. “He is always there for me and the school and never hesitates to go above and beyond what he’s asked to do.”

Trudeau is an a positive role model and NHS are proud to chose him as their DAR representative.

Starting at $2.99/week.
