Annual train raffle Saturday at the Florence County Library
FLORENCE, Wis. –The 17th-annual Florence County Library Train Show will be 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Florence County Library, 400 Olive Ave. in Florence.
The show is presented by Don and Missy Lison.
Kids of all ages are invited to learn about the joy of collecting toy trains. They will again have a raffle for many new train toys for different age groups, topped off with a completely new Lionel train set.
The Lionel sets have the new feature — a Bluetooth app — added to the controls. These fascinating toys that have entertained kids of all ages for more than 100 years are keeping pace with the latest technology.
The top prize will be the Hogwarts Express train of Harry Potter fame. Other surprises await. They again are doing a separate drawing for the youngest children — a hand-operated set, also complete and designed for smaller children.
The train raffle is free and is available to children age 18 and younger who must be present at the time of the drawing to be eligible for prize winnings.
For the adults joining them, they plan to add at least one prize for an adult older than age 18 and not accompanied by a child.
