K of C donates coats
The Iron River Knights Of Columbus Council 2300 recently had its first “Coats For Kids” program at the West Iron County School. The event was chaired by Deputy Grand Knight Dennis Cerney and was assisted by Knights Don Bastianello, Grand Knight Mark Stauber and Tim Peruzzi. One hundred and thirty-three coats were distributed to middle and high school students. The school staff — including Principal Mike Berutti, Kathy Kinner, School Deputy Jeremy Allen, along with other teachers — were very helpful and appreciative of the gifts of coats, as were the recipient students. Cerney expressed his gratitude to all, including his fellow Knights who assisted. In the upper photo, from left are Bastianello, Stauber, Berutti, Cerney and Peruzzi. In the lower photos, students select their coats.
