PESHTIGO, Wis. — The Northern Lights Master Gardeners Association will sponsor an Ask the Gardner event at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 31.

Attendees can learn how to successfully manage their gardens through propagation. They should meet at Northern Perennials, W5254 Loucks Road in Peshtigo.

The event will feature a presentation on how to start new plants or divide overgrown ones. Taking cuttings, division, grafting and layering are different ways to generate more plants.

Many plants grow in clumps and make great divisions; others have pups that can be easily separated with a sharp knife. They will also explain the benefits of a good rooting hormone.

This event is free and open to the public. Master Gardeners will be available to answer questions.
