IRON MOUNTAIN — Senior girls from Iron Mountain High School and Kingsford High School were honored with a tea on May 13, hosted by the Iron Mountain/Kingsford Women’s Club.
Eighty girls attended the 91st-annual tea at Pine Grove Country Club. The members of the women’s club and the girls enjoyed a delicious meal of chicken salad on a croissant bun, salad and a fruit cup.
Local administrators and staff represented the two local schools. Jennifer Holmes and Melanie Sardina, superintendent’s wives, poured tea and coffee after the main meal.
Heather Rusch, owner of the Cure, was the guest speaker. She gave a motivated presentation of encouragement to the girls on “Making a Difference in the World.”
Angie DuBose and Tamara Juul, co-chairs, received positive comments from the girls, saying they enjoyed the afternoon. Each girl left with a coffee card from Edelweiss Coffee.
