CF library to have 3D Art and Decor Week
CRYSTAL FALLS — Crystal Falls Community District Library on Monday will start its 3D Art and Decor Week as part of the six-week “Color Our World” summer reading program.
Several 3D Art and Decor story times will take place throughout the week for all children up to 12 years old. Library patrons can come in for a brochure or go online to the website for more information.
At 6 p.m. Tuesday, local artist Adele Ashcraft, who enjoys paint pouring as a painting technique, will share her skills with teens and adults who would like to learn how to paint pour. She has painted this way for the past year and would like to teach others about this fun and inexpensive hobby.
“There are several ways to create different effects. It is all in how the paint is poured, and no two paintings will be alike,” she said.
The session is free and all are welcome to attend.
The library will host 3D Art Family Night at 6 p.m. Friday. They will be using recycled materials and items from their craft closet to create a 3D model of Crystal Falls. Everyone is invited. “It should be an exciting experience to try your hand at creating some 3D art in a friendly environment,” organizers said.
The library is at 237 Superior Ave. in downtown Crystal Falls. For more information, contact librarian Evelyn Gathu at egathu@crystalfallslibrary.org or at 906-875-3344.
