FLORENCE, Wis. — The Florence County Historical Society will meet at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 8, at the museum at 201 Florence Ave.

The organization will review the opening of the museum, where local veterans, their families and community were invited to view the new Vietnam War exhibit. The Egelseers provided a lunch for those in attendance.

The group’s next meeting will focus on the upcoming Quilt Show and Strawberry Social planned from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 12, at Maxsells Suites and Celebration on Central Avenue.

This event is the historical society’s only fundraiser. An antique quilt display area will be added to this year’s social.
