Mobile food pantry in Menominee

MENOMINEE — The Salvation Army – Marinette and Menominee will host a Feeding America Mobile Food Pantry at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Greater Marinette-Menominee YMCA in Menominee.

A Mobile Food Pantry contains 15,000 pounds of food sent on a Feeding America truck in order to provide for 300 families in need, on a first-come, first-served basis. The YMCA is at 1600 West Drive in Menominee. The food distribution will be conducted as a drive-thru process.

“We continue to serve hundreds of households through this wonderful program — seniors, families and veterans who are so grateful for the support. We are blessed for the continued support of partners and volunteers to fight food insecurity in our community,” Salvation Army Major Rhegan Stansbury said.

To sponsor a truck or to volunteer, call the Salvation Army’s main office for more information at 715-735-7448. The Salvation Army and Feeding America are an equal opportunity provider.
