Melanie Rose

NIAGARA, Wis. — Local singer/songwriter Melanie Rose will be on stage at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Niagara’s Music in the Park in Heights Park.

Rose performs across Upper Michigan and Wisconsin as a soloist and recently joined the local country-rock band 141 North as their lead singer.

“You surely don’t want to miss this good time at the park,” said Joy Nasi, Niagara Women’s Civic Club secretary.

Refreshments are provided by the Niagara Women’s Civic Club.

In case of rain, the music continues at Tripp’s Tavern, adjacent to the park.

Music in the Park is sponsored each week by Nicolet National Bank of Niagara.

Attendees should note the weekly event is now on Wednesday evenings rather than Thursdays.

The last two week’s summer schedule for Niagara’s Music in the Park includes:

— Aug. 6: The Steenos; and

— Aug. 13: Norton and Chartier.
