Open house today at Harmony Gardens
MARINETTE, Wis. — Northern Lights Master Gardeners Association invites the public to the Harmony Gardens Open House from 4 to 7 p.m. today to see what’s new in the plant world and enjoy a relaxing evening in a beautiful setting.
Those who are gardeners are invited to talk with fellow gardeners and ask questions.
Families are encouraged to bring children to experience the Children’s Learning Garden, and stay for some light refreshments.
Those who would like more exercise can follow the mowed trails through the prairie next door or pick up a map and/or trek through the Harmony Hardwoods.
“The gardens change over time, so if you haven’t visited for a while, please stop by and see the renovated Rock Garden, the re-designed Herb and Fragrance Garden and all the other updates,” said Bill Swan of NLMGAI.
The gardens are 7 miles west of Marinette on Highway 64; or 10.5 miles from U.S. 141 on Highway 64, then 0.5 miles south on County E.
Harmony Arboretum is a 495-acre former county farm that has been developed into a conservation and horticulture education and demonstration area. It is always open to the public and free.
