Art in the Garden scholarship fundraiser Saturday in Goodman

Shoppers can visit more than 30 vendors while making their way through the garden paths.

GOODMAN, Wis. — The annual Art in the Garden scholarship fundraiser will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the home of Lynn and James Stankevich, 105 Main St. in Goodman.

The event has been an annual event since 2011.

Shoppers are again invited to stroll the garden paths and visit more than 30 vendors.

It offers jewelry, quilt work and other forms of crafts and art such as paintings, pottery, cloth works, cards and garden art. All are set up throughout the grounds or in the sunken gazebo area garden.

Vendors and visitors alike can sit, relax and soak up the atmosphere as they shop, eat and listen to live music from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. by the band Mullins 3 Gen.

The annual Art in the Garden is planned Saturday at the home of Lynn and James Stankevich, at 105 Main St. in Goodman.

Lynn Stankevich and her husband, Jim, remind visitors that food and refreshments will be for sale throughout the afternoon.

The Stankevichs and the Varsity Club of Goodman-Armstrong Creek schools use proceeds from this event for local scholarships.

The Stankevich award a scholarship that honors the memory of their son, Brian, a cancer victim at a very young age.

The G-AC Varsity Club will have hot dogs, bratwurst, hamburgers and beverages available for purchase. They will use any food and beverage profits for their clubs that benefit student programs.

Among the extras will be homemade sauerkraut, carefully prepared by Brian’s grandparents. In addition, pure maple syrup from Brian’s uncle and artwork from his family members will be for sale.

A large assortment of bucket raffles will be available that guests may purchase tickets for a chance to win.

The Stankevich family looks forward to welcoming visitors to their yard for a day of shopping while listening to live music and browsing the gardens.

In case of inclement weather, the event will be moved to the Goodman fire and rescue hall. For event updates, go to the event’s Facebook page.

Starting at $3.50/week.
