IRON MOUNTAIN — The Iron Mountain-Kingsford General Federation of Women’s Clubs has announced its opening meeting of the new year will be at noon Friday, Sept. 5, at Pine Grove Country Club in Iron Mountain.

The guest speaker will be Michigan State Police Lt. Jeremy Hauswirth, with a program on “New Scams and How to Avoid Them.”

The menu for the September meeting is chicken pot pie or a chef’s salad. Cost is $20, all inclusive.

Reservations are required for each luncheon meeting and can be made by calling or texting social chairwoman Joyel Brule at 906-282-0650 or email jbrule54@gmail.com.

All reservations and cancellations must be made with Brule by Monday.

All club members are encouraged to attend and participate in the events planned for the year.
