FLORENCE, Wis. — The Northwoods Geology Club will host a picnic at 1 p.m. Saturday at Keyes Lake pavilion in Florence.

The park is on the right side of Highway 101 a few miles south of Florence.

The club will provide fixings for sandwiches, plus soft beverages. Everyone is asked bring a dish to pass, dessert or snack item.

A short meeting will take place, including election of officers. They will also announce the September field trip.

Those attending are welcome to bring any rock or mineral-related item they would like to swap, sell or give away.
