IMHS Homecoming celebration activities announced

IRON MOUNTAIN — Iron Mountain Public Schools invites the community to join in their 2025 Homecoming celebration today, with a full lineup of events highlighting school pride and tradition.
The day’s festivities will begin with the homecoming parade at 4 p.m, with student groups marching through the west side of town to showcase their Mountaineer spirit.
Community members are encouraged to vote for their favorite Mardi Gras-themed float via QR code or by links provided on the IMPS Facebook page.
Immediately after the parade, families and fans are encouraged to gather outside Mountaineer Stadium for a community tailgate at 4:30 p.m, hosted by the IMHS Student Council. Free hot dogs and refreshments will be provided while supplies last.
The Homecoming football game vs. West Iron County High School will kick off at 6 p.m. under the Friday night lights at Mountaineer Stadium. Halftime will feature the crowning of the 2025 Homecoming king and queen.
To conclude the night, students, alumni and community members are invited to a bonfire in the old Central School parking lot immediately after the game.
Iron Mountain High School students are invited to attend the Mardi Gras-themed Homecoming dance Saturday night in the Iron Mountain High School gymnasium.
Iron Mountain Public Schools welcomes all members of the community to take part in these events and help make Homecoming 2025 a memorable occasion.
