IRON MOUNTAIN — The Dickinson County chapter of the Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel will offer mini-grants for teachers in public schools in Dickinson County for the 2025-2026 school year.

Three mini-grants of $250 are available. MARSP hopes that the opportunity to apply for an additional funds for classrooms will help staff to purchase equipment and materials.

The recipients of the mini-grants will be chosen based on the project being academic in nature and the number of students affected.

A representation of schools and grade levels will also be considered when choosing the recipients.

Applications have been emailed to each Dickinson County superintendent and principal. Forms may also be obtained from Jan Van Gasse, MARSP school ambassador, by email janicevangasse@gmail.com.

Completed applications can be send to Van Gasse by email or mailed to W5745 River Meadows Lane, Norway, MI 49870. Deadline is Friday, Oct. 17.

Mini-grant winners will be notified by Friday, Nov. 7.
