Salvation Army to host Feeding America Mobile Food Pantry
MENOMINEE — The Salvation Army will host a Feeding America Mobile Food Pantry at 10 a.m. Thursday at the YMCA, 1600 West Drive in Menominee.
A Mobile Food Pantry contains 15,000 pounds of food sent on a truck in order to provide food for 300 families in need, on a first-come, first-served basis. It will continue as a drive-thru process.
“Food insecurity remains a pressing challenge facing our community. Our commitment is to ensure that every individual has consistent access to nutritious food, because reliable nourishment is the foundation for health, stability, and opportunity,” said Maj. Rhegan Stansbury. “By working together with our partners and supporters, we are building a stronger, more resilient community where no one is left behind.”
