Area establishments plan Halloween parties this weekend

IRON MOUNTAIN — Many area establishments have planned a full weekend of Halloween fun.

Local festivities include:

— Get ready to sing your heart out at the Halloween Scare-oke Costume Party Friday at the FOUR SEASONS ISLAND RESORT in PEMBINE, Wis. Join Mane Event Karaoke from 9 p.m. to midnight in the Boundary Waters Bar for a frightfully fun night. Prizes awarded for first, second and the best couple. Attendees must be in costume for the judging at 10:30 p.m.

— It’s Boos and Brews at the ALPHA MI BREWING CO. in ALPHA on Friday.

Doors will open at 3 p.m., with RRR Karaoke and DJ to entertain from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Dress as your favorite AMBC beer from Naughty School Girl, Naughty Redhead, Big Bass Blonde, Bear Cave, or Brook Mine Brown. Get creative and use your imagination to win the Best in Brew Costume Crown. The winner will be announced at 7 p.m. They will also have S&J Food Truck on side offering Italian beef.

— THE SANDSTONE TERRACE in IRON MOUNTAIN will host a night of eerie fun, wicked cocktails and spooky good beats on Friday for the annual Halloween party.

The Terrace opens at 5 p.m., with Morning Star Karaoke and DJ to start at 8 p.m.

They will have a costume contest at 10 p.m. Participants must be present to win.

— Get ready for a ghouling good time at the RED ARROW TAVERN in FELCH on Friday. The Halloween party kicks off at 7 p.m., with the local rock band Money Shot to start at 8 p.m. Prizes for the best dressed of the night will be awarded. Judging to begin at 10 p.m. They will also have Jell-O shots for the evening.

— NUTTER’S SPORTS BAR in POWERS is giving party-goers a second chance to show off their costumes. They will host a Second Chance Halloween Party from 8 p.m. to midnight Friday with free jukebox, pool and darts. They will also have drink specials.

— DJ Mike Roberts will get the Halloween party going at the NORTHERN LITES in FLORENCE, Wis. From 8 p.m. to midnight Friday. They will have prizes for the scariest, funniest and best duo or group.

— It will be a night filled with singing characters on Friday at the Halloween party at the AMASA SAWBLADE’S Halloween party. Prizes will be awarded for the best costumes for first through third place. The contest will start at 9 p.m.

— Ghouls, ghosts and good time awaits at the ISLAND CONVENTION CENTER in HARRIS on Friday. The annual Halloween party, which runs from from 7 to 11 p.m. Eastern time, will feature AmpD UP Entertainment DJ and a Karaoke contest. Winners of the costume contest will be announced about 11 p.m. First place is $600, second place is $300 and third place is $150. They will have specialty drinks including the Transylvanian Test Tube and Dracula’s Transfusion.

— THE SAND LOT in NIAGARA, Wis., will host a Boo Party with the Reflections Band on Friday. They will have music, trunk or treat, games, and costume contest from 5 to 7 p.m. with outdoor movie and bonfire to follow.

— Party with Paris Nights on Friday at DOCKERS ON NOQUEBAY, CRIVITZ, Wis., Halloween party. Music will start at 9 p.m. Costume judging will be at midnight. They will award prizes for first through third places.

— Boo-gie with Chris Dinse at THE BLIND WALLEYE in CRIVITZ, Wis., from 8 p.m. to midnight on Friday.

— DJ Lance kicks off Halloween weekend at UNCLE MIKE’S CORNER PUB & GRILL in CRIVITZ, Wis. starting at 9 p.m. Friday. Come as you are or dressed in your haunting attire to win a prize.

The fun continues Saturday DJ Libro style starting at 10 p.m. They will host another costume contest along with drink specials for the evening.

— It’s Halloween weekend at POLLY’S in IRON MOUNTAIN. Come dressed in your finest Friday and Saturday to win a prize. They will also have drink specials, Jell-O shots and food.

— Get ready for PINE GROVE BAR in REPUBLIC’s annual Halloween Bash this weekend. Friday the rock ‘n’ roll band, Spun of Marquette, along with special guest Lillian Manceau will play from 8 p.m. to midnight Central time. They will have a costume contest at midnight with cash prizes given out. First is $100; second, $50, and third is $25. They will also have Jell-O shots and drink specials.

The Degens of the Gwinn/Ishpeming area will perform a variety music from 8 p.m. to midnight Central time for Bash No. 2 on Saturday. In addition they will have another costume party with cash prizes.

— Get ready for a night of thrills, chills and killer tunes at the annual Booze and Boo’s Halloween Bash on Saturday at the BIG 10 SPORTS BAR & GRILL IN QUINNESEC. Doors open at 7 p.m., with music by the local rock band Money Shot to start at 8 p.m. Costumes are encouraged, with judging to take place at 11:30 p.m. They will also have drink specials and free snacks throughout the evening. Proceeds from this year’s fundraising event will go to the cheer program at Norway-Vulcan Area Schools.

— Three Norway establishments will again host a Halloween Tri Tavern Tournament on Saturday. The THIRSTY WHALE kicks activities off with beer pong from 2 to 4 p.m. MISTER MOM’S offers a pool tournament from 5 to 7 p.m. THE KNIGHT OWL SPORTS BAR & GRILL will finish of the games with cornhole from 8 to 10 pm.

Cost is $20 per team for each event. Participants who visit all three bars and make a purchase can get their crawl card stamped for a chance at a grand prize.

Each stop is independent of others, you can play in one tournament and crawl to the others. All three bars will judge on the best dressed for a chance to win prizes.

— Make a stop at WHO’S NEXT in AURORA, Wis., for a night of Halloween fun on Saturday. Festivities start at 9 p.m. with the costume contest judging at midnight. They will have several drink specials for the night.

— Join the PIT STOP BAR AND GRILL IN NIAGARA, Wis., for their annual Halloween party from 8 p.m. to close Saturday. Costume judging will be at 10 p.m. and will award first through third places. They will also have drink specials.

— The C&R BAR IN AURORA, Wis., will host its annual Halloween party on Saturday with a DJ to entertain the crowd throughout the evening.

— CUCULI’S BAR IN CHANNING invited the community to its Halloween party starting at 7 p.m. Saturday. Entertainment will be provided by RRR Karaoke and DJ. They will also have a costume contest with prizes, along with drink specials.

— You’re invited to the ROADHOUSE IN LONG LAKE, Wis., on Saturday for a Halloween extravaganza filled with ghostly fun. Festivities, featuring music by Liquid Rhythm Entertainment, drink specials and cash prizes, will go from 7 to 11 p.m. They will award for best overall costume, best creative and most popular.

— Stop by DIANE’S POP-A-TOP IN PEMBINE, Wis., for its annual Halloween party on Saturday. They will have a pumpkin carving contest at 10 p.m. with a costume contest at midnight. Cash and booze prizes will be awarded. They will also have spooky snacks and drink specials.

— COUNTRY ROADS BAR AND GRILL IN WAUSAUKEE, Wis., is planning a spooktacular Halloween event on Saturday. The party will go from 6 p.m. to midnight with the costume contest at 8:30 p.m. Music will be provided by DJ Dave.

— Halloween festivities continue at DAN & DEB’S NORTHWOODS BAR in AMBERG, Wis., on Saturday. Karaoke by Gavin will entertain from 8 p.m. to midnight. Scary costumes are encouraged with judging at midnight. Prizes for first through third will be given out.

— It’s Halloween karaoke with LoneRiders at the SILVER DOLLAR in PEMBINE, Wis., with a costume contest from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday. Come and cheer for your favorite costume and performer.

— Party with DJ Jake on Saturday at WOODY’S BAR & GRILL in CRIVITZ, Wis. Music will start at 7 p.m., with the costume judging at 9 p.m. They will have raffles, and drink specials.
